This page is about building permits in Vancouver: how many the City issued in the last 12 months, the latest week, the trades and neighbourhoods with the most permits, and a link to every week on file. It comes from the City's open data; the dates at the top say when the newest permit was issued and when we last loaded the City's data. Free, no account.

Vancouver building permits
Every building permit the City of Vancouver releases as open data, matched to its address and sorted by trade. The City issued 4,047 building permits in the last 12 months, worth $5435.2M in all. The newest was issued on 30 October 2026. We last loaded the City's data on 1 November 2026.
Vancouver's open data reaches us about a week after a permit is issued. The City of Vancouver publishes permits when they are issued and does not show whether the work was completed, so every Vancouver permit shows as Issued with its issue date.
