Help: This address page
What this page does
This page shows what the city's open data records for one address: the zoning and what it means, the neighbourhood, every building permit on file and, where the city publishes it, the assessed value. It also shows the property on the city's aerial photo or a drawn plan, a 2021 Census profile of the small area around it, and recent permits nearby. Free, no account. Owner names and sold prices are never shown; the assessed value is the city's estimate for property tax, not a sale price.
How to use it
- Read the top lines for the summary: zoning, neighbourhood, number of permits and assessed value.
- Under What this zoning allows is a short summary of the City's zoning bylaw for this district: its purpose, the uses the bylaw lists as permitted or discretionary, and the key numbers (height, setbacks, site coverage, secondary suites). The caption names the bylaw, the section and the date we read it. It is a summary, not the bylaw: a Direct Control zone, an overlay or a site-specific condition can change the rules, so confirm with the City before relying on it.
- Use + and − on the plan to zoom in and out.
- Scroll to Permit history for every permit on the lot: what was done, when, by which company, the value and the status.
- Click a nearby permit to open its address, or This week's permit digest → for the whole city.
- Something looks wrong? Use the Tell us link at the bottom and we'll check it against the city's records.
